Bogus to Bubbly and surveys

I finally got Bogus to Bubbly by Scott Westerfeld. I, Julie-wa am in the dedication… everyone who posted in Scott Westerfeld’s three Bogus To Bubbly posts had the book dedicated to them I believe. I think the only comment I made on those three posts was the following (but I have commentated on his blog several other times):

  1. 396 Julie-wa on 19 Mar 2008 at 6:31 am

compilations of all the advanced technologies in Tally’s world… and the new ones in extras…

the eyescreen, which is cool major… and the ping thing… the flash tattoos, all those things… hoverboards.

&kudos on writing an amazing “trilogy.”

So my comment was probably not unique to most other comments that were asking for explanations of hoverboards and other technology of Tally Youngblood’s world, but it was enough that the brilliant Scott Westerfeld would include me in his dedication and that is very icy!

In other news, the elections are just around the corner and you can expect a post when we know the next President… although according to most media the President seems to be already decided —> the one who rides a donkey. I’m not sure how I feel about that… hmm. I’ll expand on my political convictions later.

And then a couple surverys:

10 things you want to say to 10 different people:

1. You’re my hero, though you may not know, and away you go. I miss you and more, much more.

2. Goodness I miss you like mad! You’re amazing and… like mad cool. Like the adjective cool is thrown around for many things, but you are genuinely cool and a stellar friend.

3. (Kay, so a lot of these are going to be I love/miss yous…) I love and miss you and your family. You helped me through stuff, thank you so much. If I ever have a daughter, she’ll be named after you.

4. You’re so far away it’s insane! Miss you oodles... DDR! &pixie sticks!!!

5. You’re one of my craziest (in a good way) and most lovable friends. I love &miss you!!!!!

6. You’re finally happy, I’m so glad. You deserve that. I love and miss you!

7. Thanks for RENT and for inspiring me and for being there for me. I love and miss you!

8. Well, you throw amazing parties! And you’re a loyal, amazing friend. Love and miss you.

9. You are soooo sweet! I love and miss you so much!!! “The samples won’t delay but the cables…” (now your turn).

10. I want to meet you in RL. Maybe one day we’ll both finish one of our books, get them published and we’ll tour the country together, or the world… And you’re quite an amazing person who has inspired me in several ways.

9 things about yourself:

1. Jesus Christ saved my soul.

2. You’re trustworthy, and you trust me.

3. You’re loyal.

4. You’re brave, courageous.

5. You respect me.

6. You better not sparkle… j/king. Be strong (not necessarily physically) and independent.

  1. Lol, sparky survey!
I’d take ages to do it, honest. I overthink things …
Betcha I’m not in the B2B dedicato, I’m a fairly new Scott blogger
    I WAN THAT BOOK!
I’ll get it soon … when I get to Borders … which I dunno when …
    Bye!

  2. haha, I did take forever to answer that survey… I took forever long. I think a lot, too much often.

  3. hmmmm…interestins. seems like it took a while. it was intriguing how u kept saying Him…it’s bugging me now who Him is. u know like a really good book that u have no idea wats going on so u keep reading until u find out..only in this case i never found out (unless of course i missed that minor detail. in which case i’ll feel very dumb for posting this.)
my confession is your confession. i would become a Special faster than…well…faster than a Special! hehe.
i post at Scott’s blog too. so i’m keeping the same name i use there.

  4. haha… Him is a secret… (don’t ask)
you didn’t miss anything, no worries.

and I know what you mean with the book things. It’s kinda like scary films, well they’re suppose to be scary, but you have no idea what is going on or what anyone is talking about until the end – then you sorta get it.

  5. ahhh…a secret very…secretive. uh i think scary movies are scary just coz well i get scared. ya not a horror film kinda person. but ya they sorta do leave u hanging until the end. which is kinda different from wat u did considering i still don’t know who Him is. just saying. i still think the air of mystery is icy.

  6. icy definitely :]
    lol
